Our Pride Shabbat tzedek speaker will be our own congregant, Anna Shabsin, who is a board member of PROMO, Missouri's state-wide LGBT advocacy agency, as well as being active with other community organizations.
Join Shaare Emeth and the the St. Louis Jewish Communities for the noon PrideFest parade. We will gather at market in front of Soldiers Memorial at 10 a.m.
The parade route is about a mile long and is considered “family friendly”—this is a fun activity to do with your kids. We are also working on arranging limited seating for people who would like to participate but cannot walk the route.
Need a t-shirt? T-shirts can be purchased at The Jewish Federation for $10.00 or at our meeting area the day of the parade. We’ll walk together to demonstrate that our communities are open wide to all who wish to join us.
Contact Debbie Bram to sign up to participate in the parade. 314-692-5308.
The Jewish Communities Booth will provide festival-goers information about Jewish organizations, including Shaare Emeth, where members of the LGBT community can find a welcoming environment. We’ll also have craft opportunities for festival-goers. Volunteers are needed for both Saturday and Sunday. We need volunteers for two-hour shifts between noon and 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 pm and 7:30 pm Sunday.
|Congregation Shaare Emeth is one of the leading Reform congregations in North America. Whether celebrating Shabbat, exploring the insights and wisdom found in Torah, or gathering to make a difference in our community, we are a congregational family dedicated to deepening and enriching our connection to Judaism. Shaare Emeth is in the heart of St. Louis' dynamic Jewish Community. We are fortunate to have a beautiful campus at the corner of Ladue and Ballas Roads in Creve Coeur, Mo., a lovely community in West County St. Louis.|
