A Perpetual Memorial can be established for the departed members of your family to serve as a holy bridge between the land of the living and the land of Eternal Life.
Lovingly and reverently, their names will be inscribed on a plaque displayed year-round in the Pasternak Chapel. A second plaque will be displayed on our beautiful emorial board in the Stiffman Sanctuary. This second plaque is displayed the Friday and Saturday following the yahrzeit, and the name is automatically read during Kaddish that week. Additionally, designated members of the family are informed each year by letter of the date the name will be read, and the name will be printed in the Temple Bulletin.
A Perpetual Memorial can be established for a deceased or reserved for future rememberance with a minimum contribution of $900 for Members. Please call for non-member minimum contributions. Not only do these gifts perpetuate the names of dear ones for all time, but they also insure their good works will be carried on through the good works of Congregation Shaare Emeth.
If you would like to purchase a memorial plaque for your beloved, please contact the clergy's assistant at 314-569-0010.
The Tree of Life, located in the Temple Lobby between the Rubin Library and the Youth Center, provides an opportunity to share life's special occassions with your Temple family. Members of the Congregation are able to purchase a leaf in order to create a permanent display to honor friends and joyous events. Future generations can look upon our past as having been filled with hopes, dreams and accomplishments. It also gives individuals a place to honor and remember loved ones who were special to us.
If you would like to add to the Tree of Life, please contact the clergy's assistant at 314-569-0010.
