"You are not obligated to complete the work,
but neither are you free to desist from it." Pirkei Avot 2:21
Members of Congregation Shaare Emeth worship, celebrate, and learn together, but we also do more – we support one another at times of illness, injury, loss, isolation and other life challenging situations. We stand ready to help when help is needed.
Our purpose is to create a warm and caring atmosphere in the Congregation. We focus on the Shaare Emeth community and work to reach out to congregants in a supportive and helpful manner.
By performing acts of loving kindness, gemilut chasidim, we strive to build a strong sense of community within the Congregation and to create an extended family atmosphere.
Social Justice and Advocacy work is an important piece of tikkun olam, repairing the world.
|Congregation Shaare Emeth is one of the leading Reform congregations in North America. Whether celebrating Shabbat, exploring the insights and wisdom found in Torah, or gathering to make a difference in our community, we are a congregational family dedicated to deepening and enriching our connection to Judaism. Shaare Emeth is in the heart of St. Louis' dynamic Jewish Community. We are fortunate to have a beautiful campus at the corner of Ladue and Ballas Roads in Creve Coeur, Mo., a lovely community in West County St. Louis.|
